FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Firefighters are battling a two-hectare wildfire near Fort St. John. 

The BC Wildfire Service (BCWS) says the blaze was discovered on Sunday, September 21st, just south of the Peace River near Fort St. John. 

BCWS believes the fire was caused by human activity and has designated it ‘out of control,’ which means the flames are likely or anticipated to spread beyond the current perimeter or control line.
