FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Moose Media’s 12th annual Block Party returned to 100th Street this weekend.

The yearly event is organized by Moose Media, the parent company of 100.1 Moose FM and Energeticcity.ca, and presented by RE/MAX. It had previously been moved to Centennial Park while construction work was completed on 100th Street.

“I’m just amazed,” said Janelia Bunal, who has resided in Fort St. John after immigrating from the Philippines more than a year ago. “I’ve never been here before. I’m going to take it all in.”

Margot Mueller was accompanied through the arts market by her young granddaughter.

“This is the first time in a long time I’ve come here,” said Mueller. “[My granddaughter] said there is going to be bouncy castles and a fishing game she wants to do.”

The Brule family came with their young daughter as well, excited to enjoy the event as a young family. This was their second experience at the Block Party after attending a year ago.

“Our daughter loved all the stuff at the kids’ zone,” said mom, Cassidy Brule. “Especially the animals.

“We were able to get some stuff from the vendors and the pizza cones are delicious.”

Dad Cody Brule added: “I like it on the street. It gives [the event] the ‘block’ feel.”
