In the spring of 2025, we here at Moose Media ran the North Peace People’s Choice Awards. With these awards, the people of the North Peace region voted on who was the best of the best in a wide variety of categories. According to their website, TJ’s Country Kitchen is built around the idea of family first, greeting everyone with a warm welcome and offering great homestyle cooking. Not only were they voted the Best Breakfast, but they also won Best Brunch, Best Pancakes, and Best Poutine in the 2025 North Peace People’s Choice Awards. Located along the Alaska Highway, make sure to give them a try!

#2: W Restaurant

From fluffy pancakes to flavourful bennies, the W Restaurant offers a diverse menu to satisfy all your cravings. If you’re looking for a classic diner feel, this is a great option.

#3: Silver Creek Cookhouse

10104 Alaska Road North, Fort St John, BC

For 39 years, Silver Creek Cookhouse has been a staple in Fort St John. Designed to look like a 50s diner, you can enjoy home cooked meals while picking your favourite song on the juke box.
