Dawson Creek opens public survey as it looks to update Zoning bylaw
The City of Dawson Creek wants the public’s feedback on its updated Zoning bylaw. A survey is available until September 10th.

DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — The City of Dawson Creek is updating its Zoning bylaw and wants the public’s feedback.
The city is seeking public input through a survey open until September 10th at 4:30 p.m.
“We are currently at the ‘community engagement’ stage of the update process, and we want to hear your feedback on zoning-related topics,” the city said in a statement to its residents.
The update comes as part of provincial legislation requiring all B.C. municipalities to review and revise their zoning bylaws by December 31st.
The city said the process also reflects recent developments in its area, including several new master plans, policies, an Interim Housing Needs Report and the upcoming adoption of the new Official Community Plan (OCP) this fall.
The Zoning bylaw regulates how land is used and developed in Dawson Creek, outlining where homes, businesses and other structures can be built, as well as rules for building heights, fences and property use.
Residents can complete the survey online or in person at City Hall, located at 10105 12A Street. For updates on the bylaw review process, visit the city’s website.
