Having just celebrated its 26th year, Bluey Day invites community members to “Be Brave and Shave” in solidarity with those affected by cancer — and, according to Community Giving & Event Coordinator Emily, the response has been nothing short of inspiring. With over 1,000 participants having taken the stage since its inception in 1999, Bluey Day has raised more than $2.4 million for the Cancer Diagnostic & Treatment Fund. Participants sign up early on in the year and campaign to raise funds in support of the FSJ Hospital Foundation. From heartfelt stories to head shaves, Bluey Day is packed with ways to get involved and give back. Stop by for a charity BBQ where every dollar goes to the cause. Feeling bold? Walk-in participants are welcome to Be Brave & Shave in support of local cancer care. Say hello to first responders, enjoy carnival games and face painting, and soak in the spirit of a community standing together for something truly meaningful.
