Fort St. John Provincial Court sentencing, August 11th
William Daniel Field (born 1983):

Field was found guilty of assault for an incident in Halfway River Indigenous reserve on April 3rd, 2024. Field was issued a conditional discharge, a 12-month probation order and a $100 victim surcharge, which goes towards helping the victims of a crime. A conditional discharge means the record won’t show a conviction if Field meets the conditions the judge sets.
Jordan Jerome Leblanc (born 1998):
Leblanc was found guilty of driving while prohibited and/or with a suspended licence for an incident in Fort St. John on September 15th, 2024. Leblanc was issued a $1,500 fine, a $225 victim surcharge and a one-year driving prohibition.
Clayton Roy Tinkham (born 1966):
Latest Stories
Tinkham was found guilty of possession of a non-firearm unauthorized, with Court Services Online dating the charges as relating to July 7th, 2021.
Tinkham was issued an 18-month conditional sentence, which is a sentence to be served outside of jail under strict conditions, sometimes called ‘house arrest.’
Beyond that, Tinkham also received a six-month probation order, $100 victim surcharge, five-year firearm prohibition and was subjected to forfeiture, which allows the government to seize property and assets ‘tainted’ by crime.
Dawson Creek Provincial Court sentencing, August 12th
Dajan Terry Murray Goddard (born 2005):
Goddard was found guilty of mischief $5,000 or under for an incident in Dawson Creek on June 25th, 2024. Goddard was issued a suspended sentence, where the accused is given conditions to follow, as well as a 12-month probation order and a $100 victim surcharge.
Goddard was also issued a $500 recognizance after the allegation following another incident the same day. If Goddard fails to follow the conditions laid out by the court, they must pay the $500.
Ethan Hayden Twohearts (born 2003):
Twohearts was found guilty of being unlawfully in a dwelling-house and arson damaging property for incidents in Tumbler Ridge on September 4th, 2024 and June 23rd, 2025. Twohearts was issued two conditional discharges and two one-year probation orders.
Twohearts was also issued a $50 recognizance after the allegation for an incident on July 14th, 2024. If Twohearts fails to follow the conditions laid out by the court, they must pay the $50.
Dawson Creek Provincial Court sentencing, August 13th
Mathew Lawton (born 1996):
Lawton was found guilty of failing to care for an animal and protect it from distress for an incident in Pouce Coupe on August 20th, 2023. Lawton was fined $2,500 and issued a $375 victim surcharge.
