Schedule unveiled for 2025 Moose FM Block Party

With less than a month to go before 100.1 Moose FM’s annual Block Party returns on September 6th, more details about the event have been revealed.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — With less than a month to go before 100.1 Moose FM’s annual Block Party returns, more details about the event have been revealed.

The annual celebration — organized by Moose Media, the parent company of Energeticcity.ca and 100.1 Moose FM — is being held on September 6th from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., along a stretch of 100th Street between 100th and 103rd Avenues.

“This will be a fun event with many local businesses and community members participating,” said event organizer Lisa Behrens.

“Like Blueberry River First Nations bringing information about the Beaver and Cree language, many activities for children and the City of Fort St. John’s Community Awards, which publicly recognizes and honours community members, groups and businesses which have contributed to the lives in Fort St. John.”

The schedule for the celebration has officially been released, with attractions split between two stages. 

The main stage will see opening remarks at 11 a.m. followed by three performances by Circus Surreal magician Jay Flair at 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. and closing remarks at 2:30 p.m.

Meanwhile, a secondary stage set up at 103rd Avenue will see the presentation of this year’s Fort St. John Community Awards at noon followed by musical performances from two local bands.

Locust and Honey, a group of five who “love to experiment with a wide variety of genres,” will take to the stage at 1 p.m., followed by rock cover band Blackbird at 2 p.m.

Other attractions include a wide variety of local vendors, artisans and food trucks. Updates on what to expect at the Block Party will be posted online in the lead-up to the event.
