It’s always interesting to see what the readers of Energeticcity.ca are most curious about. Sometimes it’s a big decision that will impact property taxes, and sometimes it’s a new restaurant coming to town. Here are the most-read stories for the week of July 27 to August 2, 2025:

  1. Shelter Bans Lifted:​ for occupants of tent encampment before it was removed on July 25, 2025,​ in Fort St John. The City had the bans revoked through conversations with BC Housing and the Salvation Army.
  2. Young Musician Brought On Stage:​ to perform with Wynonna Judd at the Energetic County Fair on July 18, 2025. Misty Watson grew up in Moberly Lake and lists Judd as one of her favourite artists.
  3. Committee Questions BC Housing Vacancy Rate:​ which is triple Fort St John levels. BC Housing-operated units had a 15% vacancy rate while the city’s rate is 4.8%.
