Registration open for Dawson Creek Fall Fair Parade, ‘makers of history’ theme encourages community spirit

This years’s Dawson Creek Fall Fair Parade, an annual community tradition, will celebrate the theme ‘makers of history.’

DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — Registrations are open for this year’s Dawson Creek Fall Fair Parade, which will celebrate the theme ‘makers of history.’

Organized by the Rotary Clubs of Dawson Creek, this annual community tradition invites residents, organizations and businesses to register their floats and entries for the parade, which is set to roll through the streets, starting on McKellar Avenue and ending at Tremblay Elementary, on Friday, August 8th at 10 a.m.

Joe Judge, one of the parade organizers, spoke with Energeticcity.ca about what to expect this year.

“We look for all kinds of floats… It can deal with agriculture, the diversity of cultures in our communities or anything that ties into the idea of history-makers,” Judge said.

Registration is free, but organizers request participants sign up in advance at dcrotary.ca to help with planning float placement and flow.
