Most-Read Stories of the Week

It’s always interesting to see what the readers of Energeticcity.ca are most curious about. Sometimes it’s a big decision that will impact property taxes, and sometimes it’s a new restaurant coming to town. Here are the most-read stories for the week of July 20 to 26, 2025:

  1. Northeast Highway Twinning Rejected: by the BC government. The project would’ve widened the highway between Fort St John and Grande Prairie to four lanes.
  2. Supreme Court Dismisses Case: against Canadian Natural Resources Ltd. The judge found the plaintiffs established a trespass and nuisance but did not establish any other nuisance to support the damages sought in the notice of civil claim.
  3. Florist Puts Business Up for Sale: to spend more time with her family. Tammy Hordy has been running The Flower Hut in Fort St John since 2020 but is planning on moving to Calgary.
