Hudson’s Hope public pool closed until further notice
The District of Hudson’s Hope said on July 17th its public pool will be closed until further notice after a superchlorination event.

HUDSON’S HOPE, B.C. — Hudson’s Hope Swimming Pool has abruptly closed and it is unclear when it will reopen.
In a public notice issued on July 17th, the District of Hudson’s Hope said the pool would be closed until further notice.
The district said the reason for the closure was a “superchlorination event.”
A superchlorination event occurs when a large dose of chlorine is added to a pool. As maintenance, it rapidly raises the chlorine level and eliminates bacteria, algae and organic waste.
“We prioritize your safety and will notify you once the pool is safe to use again,” said the district’s announcement.
The pool is located at 10201 Holland Street in Hudson’s Hope.
