FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Below are the latest sentences handed down from the Fort St. John and Dawson Creek Provincial Courts from July 7th to 11th.
Fort St. John Provincial Court sentencing, July 7th
Myles Ray Acko (born 1991):

Acko was found guilty of breaching a release order and two counts of breaching a recognizance for incidents in Fort St. John and Halfway River Indigenous Reserve between January and September 2024.
In addition to jail time served, Acko was issued a three-month conditional sentence and a 12-month probation order. A conditional sentence is to be served outside of jail under strict conditions, sometimes called ‘house arrest.’
James Eugene Goguen-Lirette (born 1997):
For charges of flight from police, driving while disqualified under the Canadian Criminal Code and two counts of breaching a probation order, Goguen-Lirette was sentenced to a combined total of 254 days in jail. They also received a two-year driving prohibition.

Troy Curtis Hientz (born 1972):
Hientz was found guilty of seven counts of theft $5,000 or under for incidents in Fort St. John between March and November 2024. In addition to jail time served, Hientz was issued a six-month conditional sentence and a 12-month probation order.
Fort St. John Provincial Court sentencing, July 8th
Tyrell Corris (born 1992):
Corris was found guilty of assault causing bodily harm, assault and two counts of theft $5,000 or under for incidents in Fort St. John between October 2024 and May 2025.
Corris was issued three 24-month probation orders in addition to jail time served and was ordered to report for DNA sample collection.
Dawson Creek Provincial Court sentencing, July 8th
Dawson Stanley Church (born 2002):
Church was found guilty of uttering threats for an incident in Fort St. John on May 2nd, 2025. Church was sentenced to jail time served.
Tyrone Douglas Davis (born 1983):
Davis was found guilty of the following charges, related to incidents in Moberly Lake, Chetwynd and Fort St. John:
- Unlawful confinement or imprisonment (one count)
- Possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose (one count)
- Wilfully resisting or escaping a police officer (one count)
- Assault (two counts)
- Uttering threats (two counts)
Davis was sentenced to 30 days of jail in addition to time already served. Davis also received five 12-month probation orders and was ordered to report for DNA sample collection.
Dawson Creek Provincial Court sentencing, July 10th
Jeffery Kyle Parr (born 1992):
Parr was issued a zero-dollar recognizance after the allegation, where the accused is given conditions to follow, for an incident in Pouce Coupe on September 1st, 2024.
