FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Below are the latest sentences handed down from the Fort St. John and Chetwynd Provincial Courts between June 30th and July 4th.

Fort St. John Provincial Court sentencing, June 30th

Tyrell Maxi James Cobbett (born 1990):

Cobbett was issued a $500 recognizance after the allegation for an incident in Fort St. John on February 20th, 2024. If Cobbett fails to follow the conditions laid out by the court, they must pay the $500.

Chance Little Feather Davis (born 1986):

Davis was found guilty of refusal for an incident in Baldonnel on November 8th, 2023. Davis was sentenced to jail time served and received a two-year driving prohibition and a $100 victim surcharge, which goes towards helping the victims of a crime.

Chase Chelsey Tucker (born 2002):

Tucker was found guilty of breaching a release order for an incident in Fort St. John on December 30th, 2024. Tucker was issued a $500 fine and a $75 victim surcharge.

Braidon James Vandale (born 1991):

Vandale was found guilty of driving without reasonable consideration for an incident in Fort St. John on March 26th, 2024. Vandale was issued a 12-month probation order, a $2,000 fine and a $300 victim surcharge.

Fort St. John Provincial Court sentencing, July 3rd

Danielle Louise Jackle (born 1985):

Jackle was found guilty of assault for an incident in Fort St. John on August 22nd, 2024. Jackle was issued an 18-month probation order, a $100 victim surcharge and a suspended sentence, where the accused is given conditions to follow.

Daniel Solomon Thibault (born 1962):

Thibault was found guilty of obstructing lawful hunting or fishing activity and storage of a firearm contrary to regulations for incidents in Hudson’s Hope in September and October 2023. 

Thibault was issued a $3,000 fine, $300 in victim surcharges, an 18-month probation order, a three-year firearm prohibition and a conditional discharge, which means the record won’t show a conviction if Thibault meets the conditions the judge sets.

Thibault was also subjected to forfeiture, which allows the government to seize property and assets ‘tainted’ by crime.

Chetwynd Provincial Court sentencing, July 3rd

Leon Dean Collins (born 1981):

Collins was found guilty of driving with a suspended licence for an incident in Chetwynd on August 11th, 2024. Collins was issued a $500 fine and a $75 victim surcharge.

Jacque Louis Rohel (born 1966):

Rohel was found guilty of driving while prohibited and/or with a suspended licence for an incident in Chetwynd on July 26th, 2024. Rohel was sentenced to 14 days of jail time and received a $100 victim surcharge.

Fort St. John Provincial Court sentencing, July 4th

Frank William Young (born 1968):

Young was found guilty of possessing a firearm where not allowed for an incident in Hudson’s Hope on May 12th, 2025. Young was issued a suspended sentence, a one-year probation order, a three-year firearm prohibition, a $100 victim surcharge and subjected to forfeiture.
