Canada Day celebrations returning to Fort St. John next week
Canada Day Celebrations are set to kick off on July 1st with several free events in the city.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — People are invited to celebrate the great white north at Fort St. John’s annual Canada Day Celebration.
According to the City of Fort St. John, Canada Day celebrations will run throughout the day on July 1st and offer several free events for attendees.
A pancake breakfast at the Fort St. John Fire Hall will start off the day and will run from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

The Farmers Market at Festival Plaza will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the Classic Cruisers car show will be held on 100th Street between 93rd and 96th Avenue from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Classic Cruisers show was at risk of being cancelled due to vacant job positions with the club, but got a new president and filled the necessary positions in order to keep the event going for the fourth year.
The Canada Day Parade starts at 11 a.m. with floats, performers, community groups and others marching down 100th Street.
Other free events will be offered throughout the city such as a scavenger hunt at the North Peace Museum, movies at the Lido Theatre, pizza at Pizza Hut, waived green fees at Links Golf Course and more.
