Car smashes windows of convenience store, incident deemed ‘not suspicious’

A car drove into the windows of Circle K on 100th Avenue in Fort St. John on June 21st.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — A vehicle drove into and smashed the windows of a convenience store in Fort St. John last night. 

No-one was hurt in the incident at Circle K on 100th Avenue, which took place at around 10:20 p.m. on June 21st. 

The affected windows at the shop have now been boarded up.

Corporal Brett Urano, division media relations officer with the B.C. RCMP, told Energeticcity.ca that Fort St. John officers received a report about the incident, but they did not find the driver was under the influence of alcohol or drugs. 

He said the incident was not deemed suspicious and there is no ongoing investigation. 

The BC Emergency Health Service (BCEHS) was not called to the incident.
