Road closure to begin in Fort St. John

The City of Fort St. John says contracted crews will close 112th Avenue from 89a Street to 93rd Street for construction starting June 16th.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — People are being notified of construction work north of Fort St. John.

According to a June 16th Facebook post by the City of Fort St. John, contracted crews will close 112th Avenue from 89a Street to 93 Street this afternoon. 

The roadwork and other closures around the city are for pavement milling, part of the 2025 Road Overlay Program.

The city did not say when the roadwork will be complete, but it is expected to be done by late June. 

Motorists are advised to use the detours along Northern Lights Drive or 100th Avenue east-west. 

People are also advised to slow down for working crews and to obey traffic signs and personnel.
