Survivor winner revealed as keynote speaker for Fort St. John conference

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — A TV personality has been revealed as the keynote speaker for a women’s leadership conference coming to Fort St. John. 

Erika Casupanan, the first Canadian and Filipino winner of CBS’ Survivor in 2021, will appear at the Spark Women’s Leadership Conference 2025. 

Coming to Fort St. John in October, the conference is a two-day professional development event with speakers, practical workshops and networking opportunities.

On Casupanan’s website, she says: “As a keynote speaker, I tell relatable, inspirational and witty stories that show audiences that anyone can win.”

The theme of this year’s conference is ‘rise: next-level strategies for success.’

“Erika embodies what we believe it means to rise, this year’s theme, as she understands what it means to overcome being overlooked and underestimated in the face of challenges,” said Suzanne Young, chair of the Spark Women’s Leadership Conference.

Casupanan hosts the Happy To See Me podcast, which features guests from pop culture, reality TV and beyond and explores how impressive people tackled self-doubt, underrepresentation and judgment on their paths to success.

Young continued: “We are so excited to welcome Erika to Spark this year to inspire and show our attendees that embracing a people-focused mindset, being flexible and utilizing personal strengths will lead them to success, even when things are uncertain.”

The event, which first came to Fort St. John in 2014, is not exclusively for women and everyone is encouraged to attend.

Tickets for the conference on October 8th and 9th at the Pomeroy Hotel and Conference Centre are $499 to attend in-person and $149 to access the online livestream. Early-bird prices are $450 and $99 respectively, ending on June 1st.
