FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Below are the latest sentences handed down from the Fort St. John and Dawson Creek provincial courts from May 5th to 9th.

Fort St. John Provincial Court sentencing, May 5th

Ethan Ross Hollick (born 1990):

Hollick was found guilty of careless use or storage of a firearm for an incident on May 27th, 2024. 

Hollick was issued a suspended sentence, where the accused is given conditions to follow, and was subjected to forfeiture, which allows the government to seize property and assets “tainted” by crime. 

Hollick also received a 12-month probation order, a three-year firearm prohibition and a $100 victim surcharge, which goes towards helping the victims of a crime.

Cynthia Wanda Wolter (born 1983):

Wolter was found guilty of impaired operation by alcohol or drugs for an incident in Fort St. John on July 22nd, 2024. Wolter was issued a $1,000 fine and a one-year driving prohibition.

Dawson Creek Provincial Court sentencing, May 5th

Chelsey Parr (born 1994):

Parr was found guilty of four counts of theft $5,000 or under and one count of willfully resisting or obstructing a peace officer, for incidents in Dawson Creek and Prince George that took place between September and November 2024. Parr was sentenced to jail time served.

Ashton Peters (born 2005):

Peters was found guilty of assault with a weapon and breaching an undertaking for incidents in Dawson Creek that took place in August and October 2024. Peters was issued two suspended sentences and two 18-month probation orders.

Dawson Creek Provincial Court sentencing, May 6th

Josephine Goulet (born 2000):

Goulet was issued a recognizance after the allegation, where the accused is given conditions to follow, for an incident in Chetwynd that took place on October 31st, 2020.

James Arthur Hollingshead (born 1981):

Hollingshead was found guilty of assault for an incident in Dawson Creek on May 22nd, 2024. Hollingshead was issued a suspended sentence and a 12-month probation order.

Alyssa Angel Macgregor (born 1990):

Macgregor was found guilty of possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose, being in a dwelling-house without a lawful excuse and carrying a weapon or prohibited device and/or ammo concealed for an incident in Dawson Creek on January 19th, 2025. 

Macgregor was issued three conditional discharges and three 12-month probation orders. A conditional discharge means the record won’t show a conviction if a person meets the conditions the judge sets.
