The 2025 Canadian Federal Election is coming to a close on April 28, 2025. Below are the results for the Prince George – Peace River – Northern Rockies riding located in northern British Columbia. The candidates in the riding were incumbent MP Bob Zimmer with the Conservative Party of Canada, David Watson with the People’s Party of Canada, Cory Longley with the New Democratic Party, Peter Njenga with the Liberal Party of Canada, and Mary Forbes with the Green Party of Canada.

Here are the results for the Prince George – Peace River – Northern Rockies riding in northern British Columbia:

Incumbent MP Bob Zimmer with the Conservative Party of Canada has won the riding with 71.1% of the votes. In second place was Liberal Party of Canada candidate Peter Njenga (19.6%), then NDP candidate Cory Longley (6.0%), then Green Party candidate Mary Forbes (2.1%), and then People’s Party of Canada candidate David Watson (1.2%). The total number of votes was 59,358 with 366 rejected ballots.

House of Commons

Here are the results for the general federal election compared to the previous seats in the House of Commons. Before this election, there were 338 seats. Because of changes to riding boundaries, there are now 343 seats. A party would need a minimum of 172 seats to reach majority status.

The Liberal Party of Canada won the most ridings in this election, making Mark Carney the Prime Minister of Canada. While counting continues, the Conservative Party of Canada is in second place, then the Bloc Québécois, then the New Democratic Party, and then the Green Party of Canada.
