On April 3rd, the Liberal Party of Canada also announced a candidate for the riding; Peter Njenga. According to a candidate profile published by the Abbotsford News in October 2015, Njenga worked as an accountant in Surrey.

At the time of publication, the Liberal Party did not have a profile of Njenga in its online list of MP candidates. Energeticcity.ca reached out for more information from the party but did not immediately hear back.
