Pedestrians injured in two separate Dawson Creek ‘hit-and-runs’ as RCMP appeal for information
Dawson Creek RCMP officers are looking for the alleged perpetrators of two separate hit-and-run incidents involving pedestrians in March.

DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — Pedestrians were injured in two separate alleged hit-and-run incidents in Dawson Creek last month, and police are appealing for witnesses to help their investigations.
The first incident took place on March 18th, according to a April 3rd press release, when local RCMP were alerted of a collision between a pedestrian and an SUV at 8th Street and 110th Avenue in Dawson Creek.
The report stated the male pedestrian was in the process of crossing 8th Street when the vehicle, which was pulling out of a gas station onto 8th Street, hit the man, knocking him into oncoming traffic.
While the female driver briefly stopped, officers say she “quickly left the scene.” The pedestrian was later transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
The vehicle is described as an “older model white Chevrolet Tahoe with black or steel rims.”

According to another press release from the detachment issued on April 3rd, officers responded to a second report of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle at roughly 10:20 a.m. on Saturday, March 29th in a parking lot at the corner of Alaska Avenue and 15th Street.
