Behind the Scenes

During our 2025 Reader Survey, some of the feedback we received is that people would like to see more stories about local events and businesses. While we continue to adjust our coverage to accommodate this requested. I wanted to take a minute to highlight some of the options we are currently doing for local organizations to promote themselves.

First up, we have the video series Community Roundup, powered by Brad’s Furniture & Appliances. In this series, we sit down with local non-profits and sports clubs to learn about their history in the region, the services they provide, and how you can join them. If you are a member of one of these organizations and want to join us for an episode, email greg@moosemediafsj.ca

Next, we have our FSJ Today Events newsletter and blog. Every Tuesday, we send out a free weekly newsletter straight to your inbox that showcases things to do in the area, including upcoming events. Make sure to sign up for the newsletter, follow us on Facebook or Instagram, and send your events to contact@energeticcity.ca

If you’re a local business, a great opportunity for you is the Vocal for Local series on Moose FM, powered by the Fort St John Co-op. Not only do you get to go on the radio, you will also be shared on our social media pages. Moose FM also has free Community Interviews for local events and fundraisers.
