Credit union chief executive announces retirement after 45 years in the industry
Lori Archibald, chief executive of the Lake View Credit Union servicing Dawson Creek, Chetwynd and Tumbler Ridge, has retired after a 45-year career in the industry.

Dawson Creek, B.C. — The chief executive officer of a credit union servicing Dawson Creek, Chetwynd and Tumbler Ridge has announced her retirement.
Lori Archibald, chief executive of the Lake View Credit Union, will be retiring this summer after a 45-year career in the industry.
She has spent eight years at the helm of Lake View, leading the organization through a “digital banking transformation” and the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Lori’s dedication to our members, employees, and community has been inspiring,” said John Kurjata, Lake View board chair.
“Her commitment to living our credit union values and putting people first has been a hallmark of her leadership. We are grateful for her service and wish her and her family all the best in her well-deserved retirement.”
Archibald will continue in her role until the end of June 2025, while the union’s board of directors identifies her successor.
Kurjata added: “The board is approaching this with eyes wide open around the difficulties attracting quality talent to a smaller credit union in a northern community.
