Dana Patterson, Lance’s sister, says her family hasn’t known any peace in the years since his death.

“Questions like ‘who’ and ‘why’ haunt us every day,” she says.

“Lance was a son, a father and my only sibling. No one deserves to die the way Lance did. My 85-year-old father lives with a nightmare that no parent should ever have to experience.”

Investigators are reportedly looking for information on what Lance was doing in the days leading up to his death, and details on his black 2003 Mercury Marauder.

They also want dashcam footage of the area where Lance’s body was found recorded in the evening hours of May 8th, 2021, and the early morning hours of May 9th.

“We believe there are individuals who know critical details about Lance’s death,” says Sergeant Chad Mereski of the North District Major Crime Unit.

“This information, no matter how small it may seem, could be the key to moving this investigation forward. We urge those with knowledge to come forward and help us bring justice for Lance and his family.”

Anyone with any information to share is urged to contact the RCMP at (250) 784-3700.
