FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Huskies’ Jordan LaGreca’s four-goal performance this weekend earned him the third star in the Strike Group North West Junior Hockey League’s (NWJHL) final week.

His performance against the North Peace Navigators on Sunday, January 26th was key to his team’s 8-2 victory.

LaGreca, a third-year forward from Chetwynd, is enjoying his best statistical season throughout 2024-25.

His 12 goals and 16 assists put him at a point per game in 28 appearances this year.

Huskies head coach Todd Alexander says LaGreca’s work should put him in the running for NWJHL defenceman of the year.

“He’s a shutdown defenceman when we need him to play against other teams’ top lines,” said head coach Todd Alexander. “He matches up real well.

“He’s a penalty killer. He’s a power-play guy. The tougher the matchup or the better the game, the better [Jordan] is.”

The 20-year-old also spent time with the Dawson Creek Kodiaks in the 2022-23 NWJHL season.

Fort St. John will play the Kodiaks on Friday evening at Memorial Arena in Dawson Creek. Game time is scheduled for 8:00 p.m.
