Charges laid against arrested suspects in Dawson Creek drive-by shooting investigation

Dawson Creek RCMP officers say charges have been laid against two suspects arrested in connection with a recent shooting in the city.

DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — Dawson Creek RCMP officers say charges have been laid against two suspects arrested in connection with a recent shooting in the city.

The shooting, which also involved a third suspect who is still at large, saw two people attempt to flee their escape vehicle on foot. Officers say it took place at roughly 1:00 a.m. on Friday, January 17th.

Police have confirmed the two arrested suspects’ identities as Jesse Sebastien Bujold, born in 1999, and Jasmin Tawni Vigfusson, born in 1989.

Both parties have been charged with one count each of careless use of a firearm. Bujold has additionally been charged with one count of flight from police.

A bail hearing for the pair was scheduled for Tuesday, January 21st.

Officers are still looking for the third suspect, who is described as roughly five feet eight inches tall with brown hair, brown eyes, and a thin build.

Police also say the remaining suspect has tunnel piercings in his ears and a tattoo on the right side of his neck, along his hairline.

Anyone who sees the suspect is urged to call 911 immediately rather than approach him.
