SD 60 re-appoints BCPSEA Alternate Representative
School District 60 has appointed Thomas Whitton as the board’s British Columbia Public School Employers’ Association (BCPSEA) Alternate Representative during a special board meeting on January 13th.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — School District 60 has appointed Thomas Whitton as the board’s British Columbia Public School Employers’ Association (BCPSEA) Alternate Representative during a special board meeting on January 13th.
Thomas Whitton was previously elected to the position in the Board of Trustee elections back in November 2024.
He had to temporarily step down from the position due to a conflict of interest.

Whitton was elected in the second round of voting, after the first round resulted in a tie between himself and Helen Gilbert.
The BCPSEA Alternate Representative’s responsibilities include acting as the liaison and communications conduit between Boards of Education and BCPSEA on human
resources matters, and fulfill a mandate focused on human resources, including labour relations.
