Drivers are advised to be prepared for changing road conditions as surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways, and parking lots become icy and slippery.

According to the service, a Pacific warm front passing above the cold air mass at the surface has led to an increased risk of freezing rain across the Fort Nelson region.

The weather period is expected to continue through the afternoon and end early in the evening on Thursday.
