RCMP investigates fatal crash in Fort St. John, public help needed 

The RCMP is investigating the cause of a two-vehicle collision on Monday, November 24th that left a driver dead.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The RCMP is investigating the cause of a two-vehicle collision on Monday, November 25th that left a driver dead.

Police officers, Fort St. John Fire Rescue and BC Ambulance were dispatched to a scene by Shepherds Inn by Highway 97 in Charlie Lake at 5:35 p.m. that evening.

According to a press release from Fort St. John RCMP, the highway was shut down for seven hours while teams from the North District Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit surveyed the damage.

One driver was pronounced dead at the scene, while the second driver was rushed to Fort St. John Hospital with injuries.

Alcohol and road conditions are not believed to be a factor.  The RCMP are seeking the public’s help for information while investigating.
