Second straight overnight diversion announced at Chetwynd Hospital

The morning after an overnight diversion of the Chetwynd Hospital’s emergency department, Northern Health has announced another diversion at the facility.

CHETWYND, B.C. — The morning after an overnight diversion of the Chetwynd Hospital’s emergency department, Northern Health has announced another diversion at the facility.

The health authority announced in a Facebook post at 11:41 a.m. that emergency department services were currently unavailable and would resume at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, November 22nd.

This is the fourth diversion at the hospital so far this month, and comes less than four hours after the previous diversion ended.

Residents in need of life-threatening urgent care can call 911 for transportation to the nearest available facility.

Meanwhile, individuals with less urgent care needs can contact their primary care provider or call the NH Virtual Primary & Community Care Clinic at 1-844-645-7811.
