“The Gala went wonderful. It was very well attended, with beautiful decorations,” said Amboe.

Amboe says the gala raised a total of around $162,000, and is optimistic about the campaign reaching its $350,000 goal.

According to Amboe, the gala auctions off its “I Remember” quilt each year. This year, the quilt sold for a bid of $25,000, breaking the foundation’s record for the third straight year.

“The generosity in this community is outstanding,” said Amboe.

In late October, the City of Fort St. John proclaimed November as Be an Angel month to support the foundation.
