FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Chetwynd Hospital Emergency Department has reopened after closing overnight due to staffing challenges.

Announced shortly after 8 p.m., November 4th via Facebook, Northern Health stated the ‘unexpected’ closure would impact the department between the hours of 7 p.m., November 4th and 8 a.m., November 5th. 

The health authority encouraged residents in need of urgent medical care to call 9-1-1 for transport to the nearest available Northern Health medical facility.
