Fort St. John declares November Cadet and Legion Month

The City of Fort St. John council has declared November to be Cadet and Legion Month in support of the Fort St. John Royal Canadian Legion.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The City of Fort St. John council has declared November to be Cadet and Legion Month in support of the Fort St. John Royal Canadian Legion. 

During the October 28th regular council meeting, Mayor Lilia Hansen and councillors reviewed month proclamation requests from the Fort St. John Royal Canadian Legion Branch NO. 102, a community partner that contributed $40,000 throughout 2024. 

Following the presentation, the mayor and council unanimously voted to proclaim the month of November 2024 to be Cadet Month and Legion Month.

In honour of the legion and Remembrance Day, the council also proclaimed October 25th to November 11th as the dates for this year’s Poppy Campaign in the City of Fort St. John.
