PRRD seeks public input to improve Spencer Tuck Regional Park

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Peace River Regional District (PRRD) has launched a design study to improve Spencer Tuck Regional Park, and is seeking public input.

The PRRD intends to assess and improve the park’s safety, accessibility, and overall appeal by conducting a study designed to examine challenges such as traffic flow, parking, washrooms, and boat launch access and condition.

The park, 32 kilometres north of Chetwynd, is 5.18 hectares and provides space for supper activities, including picnic tables, trails, and the only public boat launch on the north side of Moberly Lake. The park has been closed in the winter months since 2023.

The study will assist the PRRD in developing a plan to address the current and future needs of park visitors and groups interested in the park’s development.

In addition to conducting an online survey, the PRRD will collect public input from in-person and virtual open houses and meetings with interest groups. Open houses will be scheduled for November, with more information released from the PRRD in the weeks to come.
