Behind the Scenes
As a news organization, we deal with a lot of different types of stories. Unfortunately, one type of story we cover is when people go missing. Our goal during these difficult times is to try and provide as much information as possible that we receive from RCMP and Search & Rescue in order to try and help locate these people. Sometimes they are found quickly, and when that happens, we try to remove personal information of the missing person for privacy reasons. However, when people have been missing for longer periods of times, we try our best to help as much as we can.
Just last weekend, two men have gone missing in the Northeast BC area. Searches have been occurring throughout the week, so we encourage anyone with information to reach out the RCMP or Search & Rescue teams. We also want to remind everyone that this is a very trying time for their families so please be respectful when it comes to discussing these cases, especially on social media.
