Early voting now open in the Peace Region

Residents can expect to see early voting locations open up throughout Northeast B.C. as the 2024 Provincial General Election approaches.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Early voting has begun throughout the province, with advance voting locations opening in the second to last week of the 2024 Provincial General Election. 

Advance voting locations will remain open until the 16th in Fort St. John, and the final day of voting will occur on election day October 19th. Voters are reminded that all sites will be closed on the 14th for the Thanksgiving holiday. 

In the Fort St. John area, residents can vote in advance at the Fort St. John Senior’s Hall on 100th Street.

In Taylor, you can vote at the Community Hall on October 11th and 12th and on election day, October 19th.

In Fort Nelson, you can vote in advance on October 11th, 12th and 13th at the Northern Lamplighters Activity Centre and in Hudson’s Hope at the Pearkes Arts and Entertainment Centre on October 15th and 16th.

In order to vote, residents must be registered and bring government-issued photographic IDs with them to the voting location. 

Online and phone registration has been closed, however, residents still looking to complete their voter registration can do so when voting until October 19th.
