Fort St. John Provincial Court sentencing, September 26th

O’Connell was found guilty of breaching a probation order, failing to keep right of a single broken/solid line, and wilfully resisting or obstructing a peace officer for an incident in Taylor on October 31st, 2023.
O’Connell was issued two six-month conditional sentences, which is a sentence to be served outside of jail under strict conditions, sometimes called “house arrest.”Â
O’Connell also received two 12-month probation orders, two 2-year discretionary firearm prohibitions, a $109 fine, and $300 in victim surcharges, which go towards supporting victims of a crime.

Peterkin was found guilty of mischief for an incident in Fort St. John on March 27th, 2023. Peterkin was issued a 12-month suspended sentence, where the accused is given conditions to follow. They were also issued a 12-month probation order and a $100 victim surcharge.
Dawson Creek Provincial Court sentencing, September 27th
Jennifer Marie Nichols (born 1975):
Nichols was issued a $500 recognizance after the allegation for a charge of assault by choking, issued after an incident in Chetwynd on January 29th, 2024.
If they break the conditions laid out by the court, they must pay the $500.
