Candidate list announced for 2024 BC Provincial General Election
The deadline for candidate nominations in the 2024 Provincial General Election has passed, and the official list of candidates has been announced.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The deadline for candidate nominations in the 2024 Provincial General Election has passed, and the official list of candidates has been announced.
With the window for candidate announcements and registration closing on September 28th, 323 candidates will appear on ballots across the 93 political ridings of the province.
The BC NDP and Conservative Party are the only two parties running candidates in every riding. The BC Green Party has registered 69 candidates.
The candidate list maintained by Elections BC does not list any BC Green Party candidates for Peace River North and Peace River South.
Brennan Wauters was announced as a fly-in candidate for Peace River North on September 24th but has since been removed from the BC Green Party list of candidates.
There will be 40 Independent candidates running across B.C. and 14 Unaffiliated. Independents are candidates who have registered as independents, and Unaffiliated candidates are those individuals who have not been endorsed by a party or registered as independents.
The Christian Heritage Party of B.C. is running two candidates, the Communist Party of BC is running three, the Freedom Party of BC has registered five, and there are four Libertarian candidates.

Three candidates have been announced and registered in the Peace River North riding. Incumbent candidate Dan Davies will run for re-election as an Independent alongside Conservative Party candidate Jordan Kealy and BC NDP candidate Ian McMahon.
Incumbent candidate Mike Bernier is also running for reelection and is joined in the riding by BC NDP candidate Marshall Bigsby and Conservative candidate Larry Neufeld.
Energeticcity.ca contacted the BC Green Party for clarification on their list of candidates but did not receive a response in time for publication.
