BC NDP unveils candidates for Peace River North and South

The BC NDP party has announced its full list of candidates for the 2024 Provincial General Election.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The BC NDP party has announced its full list of candidates for the 2024 Provincial General Election.

On September 24th, the political party announced they were running candidates in all 93 ridings across the province. This included naming candidates for Peace River North and Peace River South.

Ian McMahon has been named the BC NDP candidate for Peace River North, set to run against Conservative candidate Jordan Kealy, Independent candidate and incumbent Dan Davies, and Green Party candidate Brennan Wauters

In Peace River South, Marshall Bigsby is the BC NDP candidate, running against Independent candidate and incumbent Mike Bernier and Conservative candidate Larry Neufeld.

The Green Party has not announced a candidate for the Peace River South riding and has until September 28th at 4 p.m. Pacific time to do so.

McMahon’s online profile highlights his work in government across the globe and his opinion that the government should ‘act to strengthen healthcare, reduce costs and put money in your pocket.’

Bigsby’s profile describes him as a ‘student advocate’ and discusses his intentions to represent students and their interests with educational institutions.
