Fort St. John declares Rail Safety Week 2024

The Council of the City of Fort St. John has voted to proclaim Rail Safety Week 2024.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Council of the City of Fort St. John has voted to proclaim Rail Safety Week 2024.

During the September 9th regular council meeting, Mayor Lilia Hansen and council members reviewed a proclamation request and delegation from CN Rail on the importance of rail safety. 

The proclamation is intended to raise awareness about the importance of safe interactions between railways and individuals.
