According to a new announcement from the company, the road will be closing at Pederson’s Crossing from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 22nd.
The closure comes amid a week of maintenance on the road that began on Monday, where the company warned motorists to expect “intermittent closures and delays.”
While the closure is in effect, Dawson Road Maintenance says “the valley will be impassable.”
An 82.2-kilometre detour route will be available for motorists via Cecil Lake Road, Siphon Creek Road, and Doig Road.
