UPDATE: The rally has been rescheduled for Tuesday, July 30, at the same time and place. It was originally scheduled for July 25th. The article below has been updated to reflect this change.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Peace River North MLA Dan Davies will host a rally on July 30th in Fort St. John in response to continued closures of Northern Health facilities. 

In a Facebook post announcing the event, Davies encouraged residents to join him and guest speakers for a one-hour rally at 4 p.m. at the green space on 100th Avenue and 100th Street in Fort St. John.

“We deserve a healthcare system that will be there when we need it,” Davies wrote.

Davies intends for the rally to ‘send a message’ to the NDP and Minister of Health Adrian Dix about the continued diversions of Northern Health emergency departments.
