FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Northern Trails Heritage Society will showcase Fort St. John, Taylor, and Charlie Lake this weekend.
This is the second week of the society’s Doors Open initiative, where museums and some heritage places offer free admission to the public on Saturdays in July.
In an interview with Moose FM on July 9th, Heather Sjoblom, Curator of the Fort St. John North Peace Museum and a member of the Northern Trails Heritage Society, described the day of activities throughout the region.
“Last weekend, it premiered in the Pouce Cope and Dawson Creek area, where museums and certain heritage sites were open to the public, and this weekend, it’s our turn in the Taylor, Fort St. John, Charlie Like area,” Sjoblom said.
Throughout the day on July 13th, Taylor Forts in Peace Island Park, the Tayor Visitor Centre, the Church of Good Shepherd, the Fort St. John North Peace Museum, the Grand Haven Dance Hall, and the Charlie Lake Tse’k’wa National Historical Site will all be offering free admission.
The society has posted a full list of locations and details on its Facebook page, including location hours and addresses.
