FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Fort St. John Co-op reopens one location as IT service problems continue with Co-op Cardlocks across Western Canada.
On the afternoon of June 27th, Federated Co-operatives Limited, the company that supplies co-ops across Western Canada, posted about the incident on its Facebook page.
The company explained that a cybersecurity incident is impacting several internal and customer-facing systems at local retail Co-ops and Cardlock fuel locations nationwide.

“As a precaution, we have shut down some of our systems and brought in third-party experts. An investigation is underway,” the company wrote.
At around 5 p.m. on June 27th, the 91st Avenue Cardlock became partially operational, able to pump up to 500 litres of clear product only on Cardlock Cards.
Shortly after 9 a.m., Fort St. John posted a list of open Cardlock locations, which listed Fort St. John’s 91st Avenue location and a location in Nanaimo as the only locations open in British Columbia.
