City seeks feedback on Alaska Road South greenhouse proposal

The City of Fort St. John has received a temporary use permit for a property located on Alaska Road South.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The City of Fort St. John has received a temporary use permit for a property located on Alaska Road South.

Grandmother’s Greenhouse submitted the application to temporarily build and house two commercial greenhouses at 11527 Alaska Road South for three years. 

The property is not currently zoned for greenhouses or nurseries, but the use of the temporary structures would be permitted.

Following the permit application, the City will accept resident feedback until June 7th, 2024. A decision on the temporary use permit will be made on June 10th. 

Residents can share their opinions by emailing the city or contacting Corporate Officer Bonnie McCue at City Hall.
