FORT NELSON, B.C. — Fort Nelson residents returning home are being urged by Northern Health to flush all their household water fixtures.

The health authority has issued a Water Quality Advisory for the community as a precaution, to deal with stagnant water within service lines because of the evacuation on May 10th that was just rescinded Monday.

“Northern Health recommends that children, pregnant women, the elderly, and persons with weakened immune systems drink boiled or an alternate source of water at this time as a precaution,” the advisory reads.
