District of Tumbler Ridge hires new Chief Administrative Officer

TUMBLER RIDGE, B.C. — The District of Tumbler Ridge has hired a new Chief Administrative Officer. 

Lisa Scott will start her new position on June 3rd, 2024. 

“As the new CAO, Ms. Scott will provide leadership and strategic direction to the team,” the district said in a press release.

According to the district, Scott has worked in the municipal field for 25 years. 

“Her expertise in finance and administration will be invaluable as we manage the district’s resources effectively and efficiently.”

Council said they welcome Scott to the community and look forward “to working with her to fulfill the responsibilities of guiding the municipality in the years ahead.”

Tumbler Ridge has been searching for a new CAO since Brian Woodward departed from the position in November 2023. 

Woodward served as the district’s CAO  for six months before leaving the position for unknown reasons. 

Aleen Torraville has served as the Interim CAO during the hiring process.
