Carmella Maga, beloved grandmother, mother, sister, partner, and friend, passed away on April 4 at the age of 71. She was born on August 26, 1952, in Esterhazy, Saskatchewan.
Carmella Maga, beloved grandmother, mother, sister, partner, and friend, passed away on April 4 at the age of 71. She was born on August 26, 1952, in Esterhazy, Saskatchewan.
Carmella excelled at work, however her true passion lay in serving others. She dedicated herself to various community initiatives, including volunteering with the Canadian Cancer Society, organizing community Christmas dinners in Fort Nelson, and bringing comfort to the elderly in Dawson Creek.
Carmella’s warmth and generosity touched all who knew her. She was a pillar of support to her children, Heather Maga and Jared Thorvaldson, and cherished her relationships with her siblings: Frank, Shirley, Debbie, and Jim. Her grandchildren, Julia, Kade, and Ella, brought her immense joy.

Known for her strength, sassiness, and love of shopping, Carmella lived life with boldness and style. Her adventurous spirit and candid advice will be dearly missed. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and partner Randy Swain and all others who had the privilege of knowing her.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
