Hudson’s Hope RCMP monthly bulletin: 28 driving violations and warnings issued

The Hudson’s Hope RCMP responded to 11 calls for service between February 21st and March 23rd.

HUDSON’S HOPE, B.C. — The Hudson’s Hope RCMP responded to 11 calls for service between February 21st and March 23rd.

There were 28 written violations and warning tickets issued to drivers between the above dates for various motor vehicle-related offences.

Highway and road safety continues to be a focus for the Hudson’s Hope RCMP.

On February 24th, the Hudson’s Hope RCMP responded to a report of a single motor vehicle accident involving a commercial tanker truck along the Kobes Creek FSR. Upon arriving on scene, police observed a tanker truck that had slid off the main road and abruptly stopped among a crop of trees and a hillside. The driver was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The cause of the accident was deemed accidental based on the road conditions. 

On March 22nd, the Hudson’s Hope RCMP received a report of an iPhone SOS crash alert somewhere along the Kobes Creek FSR. Police located the vehicle, which was found in a ditch, and no signs of injury were observed. Upon speaking with the vehicle’s registered owner, it was confirmed that no persons were injured in the accident and that the cause was due to road conditions and human error.
