Argo Road Maintenance says Tuesday morning’s heavy rain and high winds in the south Peace have caused power outages, downed powerlines and fallen trees.

Argo says all main highways in the region are clear, but many side roads may be blocked, and some compact side roads will be slippery from rain.

“Our crews are out patrolling for debris and sanding side roads,” said Shelley Fulmes, quality assurance manager at Argo Road Maintenance.

“Please watch for the maintenance trucks and give them room to work.”

Argo advises road users to use caution when travelling the side roads of the South Peace and to be prepared to adjust driving with changing road conditions.

Updates on road conditions and events in the Peace region can be found on DriveBC’s website.
